If the main attractions aren’t for you or you simply fancy a day away from all the hustle and bustle there are plenty of recreational activities around the villa to keep you occupied from championship golf courses to hot air balloon rides.

Hot Air Balloon Rides

There are many companies within the Orlando area that offer hot air balloon rides at varying prices. As with anything in Orlando, it is best to shop round for the best prices and to find the departure location that would best fit in with you vacation itinerary.

Golf

There are many golf courses surrounding the villa catering for all levels of experience. For those looking for a challenge there’s the Diamondback, Champions Gate, and several courses at the Walt Disney World Resort, 2 of which feature on the PGA tour. You will find all courses to be of a high standard and many with reasonable prices. Below is a guide to the most well known courses in the Orlando area although there are many more. Fishing and Boat Tours

Fishing is a popular recreational activity in Florida, especially Bass fishing. Numerous operators advertise fishing trips and boat tours around Florida’s beautiful lakes and wetlands. For those seeking more of a thrill why not try an Air Boat ride to get the blood pumping. Either way a tour is a great way to see some of Florida’s native species and spend a day in peaceful surroundings.

Diving and Snorkelling

There are many schools which will teach you to dive or snorkel and offer sensational tours to view the local marine life. The number of schools will increase as you go further towards the coast but with the nearest beach only 50 minutes away, these activities are very accessible.

Water Sports

Various water sports are available in Central Florida that do not require the coastal waters due to the large number of lakes. These include water ski-ing, jet ski-ing and wind surfing to name but a few. Again there are many schools around who are willing to teach those of us who have little or no experience as a day or half day activity.

Sky Venture Wind Tunnel

The experience of sky diving without the height and risk! A fantastic experience for anyone wanting to experience something a little out of the ordinary. Located on International Drive it is perfectly placed for various other attractions.

International Drive

This is one street you’ll never get tired of. There’s themed crazy golf, Wonderworks, the Festival Village to name but a few, and the widest variety of eating establishments in Orlando, ranging from McDonald’s to high class steak houses.
